I am sure you have seen this stuff around. Its almost as ubiquitous as spider webbing. If you have gone to any of those pop up Halloween stores and had sticker shock, you are not alone. Last year I decided to whip myself up a batch of creepy fabric. You will be surprised how easy it is.
Materials
Cheese cloth
Teabags
Pot of boiling water
Scissors
You can pick cheese cloth up in your supermarket in the baking aisle. If you don’t have tea at home, just buy whatever tea is on sale. Bring a pot of water to boil and put several teabags in. The more teabags the deeper the color will be. Steep the bags for a number of minutes and just throw the cheese cloth into your pot. Leave it in there for a number of hours if not over night. When you are ready to take it out, squeeze out the excess water. You can put it on a plate in a heap and let it dry, it won’t take long. When it is dry, cut it to your desired length. I like cutting holes in it and slits. The more ripped up and distressed the better.
Enjoy!
